Staffordshire Union of Golf Clubs congratulates Robert Rock on his superb win at the HSBC Golf Championship in Abu Dhabi.

The achievement being exceptional against a field of major champions and top world ranked players.

Robert learned his golf in Staffordshire, turning Pro in 1988 off a scratch handicap. In 2004 he became a full time player on the European Tour; his first win, the BMW Italian Open, coming in 2011.

His superb win in Abu Dhabi brings his career winnings on the European Tour to nearly four million euros and in 2012 four hundred and twelve thousand euros.

Robert is playing in two more events in the Middle East and we wish him continued success in the desert.
