Staffs Vs Lincolnshire Seniors 2011

Another disappointment for Captain Nick Copestick when his team went down in their home match against Lincolnshire at Bloxwich GC. After the morning greensomes the teams went in all square with good Staffordshire wins by G McBryde & N Portas, B Barratt & E Kuhn, and D Pepper & P Hodgkinson. However, the afternoon betterballs saw Staffordshire fall away once more to go down 5-7 with the only wins coming from G McBryde& N Portas and D Pepper & P Hodgkinson.

This has been a mysterious season for a good Staffordshire team who have now lost 6 out of their first eight matches, fortunately the disappointment was ameliorated by the fine team performance a few days later when Staffordshire won a place in the EGU National Finals at Gog Magog in October. Golf is a real mystery!!
