STAFFS SENIORS LOOSE AGAIN

Staffordshire Seniors bad run continues with an away loss to Nottinghamshire at Radcliffe on Trent GC. The squad was pleased to welcome Bob Aston [Newcastle GC] & a scratch golfer. On a glorious summers day in the morning greensomes, Staffordshire went into a lunchtime lead of 3.5-2.5 with wins by President Andrew Dathan/Dave Thomas and also Edmund Kuhn/Tony Wright. The lead was short lived because the Nottinghamshire team turned things round in the afternoon better balls when only ex European tour pro Steve Wilde/Peter Hodgkinson and new boy Bob Aston playing with Captain Nick Copestick managed halves. All the other matches were losses and resulted in an overall 5.5-12.5 loss for Staffordshire.
