The seniors entertained Shropshire & Herefordshire in their home match at Brocton Hall. After years of being one of the weaker county senior sides, S&H have developed a srong squad and even with a couple of their international players absent they inflicted a resounding 15-3 defeat on the Staffordshire team.

New Captain Nick Copestick was disappointed as Glen McBryde and Neil Portas were the only Staffs pairings to win both morning and afternoon matches. The Brocton President Mike Bates partnered by Trevor Bennett won their morning match but were well beaten in the afternoon.
