PRESIDENTS DAY - DRAYTON PARK

                     A welcome from the Captain

Drayton Park Golf Club was the venue for the Associations 2010 Presidents Day. A field of over 90 players turned out for President David Edwards' special day and in the midst of a spell of bad weather we were able to pick out a beautiful sunny day.
 
The course, and in particular, the greens, was in good condition and the evening meal was excellent. Drayton Park Golf Club hosted a very pleasant day.
 
The Presidents Trophy was fittingly won by Drayton Park Golf Club member John Rowland.
 
The Association's Annual General Meeting followed the evening meal and Bill Evans of Beau Desert Golf Club was elected to the office of President for the coming year.  John Cambridge and Ken Hunt were re-elected as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
 
One of the items discussed at the meeting was the Associations forthcoming 25th Anniversary celebrations. The Association held it?s first event on 9th October 1987 at Ingestre Park Golf Club and it is hoped that we can mark the anniversary in 2012 with a golf event and dinner with entertainment,  as near to that date as possible.
