They said this job could not be done; but with a smile he went right to it. To do this job that could not be done and he did it!!

Well done to Captain Terry Henwood who avenged last years defeat and led his team to a convincing victory against Leicestershire seniors on Monday 16^{August at Walsall Golf Club.}

The course was in superb condition and after the miserable weather of recent days we were once again blessed with a glorious summers day. Staffordshire went in for lunch with a comfortable 5-1 lead but a spirited fight back by Leicestershire resulted in a 3-3 outcome for the pm better balls. Only Glen McBryde/ Chris Nichol and Dave Thomas /Martin Payne managed a 100% result to leave Staffs winners by 11-7
