Congratulations go Ben Rhodes of Beau Desert Golf club on winning the Seniors Championship with a splendid 73 gross. Ben has been struggling recently with his poor driving form but the tight fairways of South Staffs Golf Club were obviously to his liking as he enjoyed a welcome return to form. Congratulations also to T Whitelaw from Brocton Golf Club who, off a 14 handicap, returned a net 67.

Our thanks go to the prestigious S Staffs Golf Club for hosting the event. We were very fortunate because the weather was once again ideal for golf. Rees Thomas had done a superb job in preparing the course and the greens were in their usual championship condition. Thanks also go to Terry Henwood the Seniors County Captain who organised the event so well. Also thanks to the girls Sue Val, Pippa and Beth for managing the reception and also the various starters
