The seniors Vs juniors has become the opening event of the Seniors Program This year it was hosted by the prestigious Little Ason Golf Club and the the juniors were very keen to avenge last year's heavy defeat. At that time the Juniors organiser Jim Whitehouse had firmly stated that the result did not matter, it was the experience that the boys got was what counted. This year when the juniors swamped the seniors Jim was singing a different tune!!

After the miserable weather of recent weeks we were blessed with a perfect golfing day and Little Aston course was in superb condition. As always the match was played in great spirit and the Juniors ran out convincing 20-4 winners. In the morning Greensomes Dave Thomas & Martin Payne were the only seniors winners but Lewis Birchall and Mike Amos reversed the situation with a comprehensive win in the afternoon betterballs. The afternoon saw Sandy Fraser and County President Andrew Dathan get a half against George Dukes and Cameron Long while the evergreen Captain, Terry Henwood partenered by Trevor Bennnet, had a convincing 3/2 win over Jack Gaunt and Liam Hancock.
