Drug testing at National Competitions 2012

For those of you that will play in any National golf tournaments, Reid, McGregor, Carris, English Amateur, British Boys etc. you need to know that random drug testing takes place.

What you also need to know is that since January 2010 the drug   Pseudoephedrine has been put back on the banned list.

This drug is, unfortunately, in most cold & flu remedies e.g.. Lem-Sip, Benylyn products, Night Nurse etc. and stays in your system for up to 7 days.

Use will be prohibited above 150 mg/ml, - the drug test involves a small urine sample.

A full list of products that contain this drug can be found by going to www.telegraph.co.uk  and put Pseudoephedrine in the search engine.
