ASGC PRESIDENTS SALVER

Kevin Verity of Drayton Park G.C. , with a score of 41 stableford points, receives the Presidents Salver from Glen Sargeant, Captain of Druids Heath Golf Club.

The Association of Staffordshire Golf Captains held it's annual competition for the PRESIDENTS SALVER at Druids Heath Golf Club on Tuesday 13th October, followed by the Annual General Meeting of the Association.

The stableford competition was played over an immaculately prepared course on a glorious autumn day.

In addition to the winner of the Founders Trophy there were 4 prizes awarded in each of three divisions based on handicap, as follows:-

Division 1

1. 40 pts - John Hartley, Drayton Park
2. 39 pts - Martin Pearce, Uttoxeter
3. 34 pts - David Harrison, Drayton Park
4. 34 pts - Bill Evans, Beau Desert

Division 2

1. 38 pts - Bill Perry, Great Barr
2. 37 pts - John Wood, Drayton Park
3. 36 pts - John Taylor, Beau Desert
4. 35 pts - Rob Seaton, Ingestre Park

Division 3

1. 37 pts - Terry Allen - Uttoxeter
2. 35 pts - Robert Sanders, Branston
3. 35 pts - John Rowlands - Drayton park
4. 33 pts - David Edwards - Stafford Castle

AGM

In the absence of our President, Brian Horan (indisposed), the Immediate Past President,  George Morton, presided.
David Edwards of Dartmouth G.C. which celebrates it's centenary in 2010, was elected President for 2010.

John Cambridge and Ken Hunt were re-elected Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

The President thanked the Club for hosting the Association and for the excellence of the facilities.
