Boys MatchPlay Finals at Stone G.C.

Mr. Fil Tarakaniec, Captain of Stone Golf Club, hosted the Finals Day of the Boys County MatchPlay Championship for the Slaughter Trophy.  After a heavy shower during the morning semi-finals the weather took a turn for the better and and encouraged some low scoring in the afternoon.  The Course was in excellent condition, as always, and all those taking part expressed their thanks to Mark O'Malley and Norman Eardley for their hard work.

The Final was won by Louis Birchall of Ingestre Park G.C. who was taken to the last putt on the 18th green by Josh Pickard of Aston Wood G.C.

  Members of the County Executive, Junior Committee and representatives of the host club enjoyed a superb lunch, prepared by Barry, before walking out onto the course to watch the final.
