A.S.G.C. Summer Meeting at Gt. Barr Golf Club

THE ASSOCIATION OF STAFFORDSHIRE GOLF CAPTAINS

The A.S.G.C. held it's Summer meeting at Great Barr Golf Club on Thursday 9th July 2009. Almost 80 Captains and Past Captains from across the County competed in the Mike Connolly Trophy, a stableford event held annually in memory of Mike Connolly, a former Captain at Uttoxeter Golf Club.

The winner of the event was fittingly from Uttoxeter G.C. Mike Cleaver carded 40 points, taking a title by a clear 3 points.

The winner of Division one was Len Woodward, also of Uttoxeter Golf Club, whilst John Wood of Drayton Park Golf Club took the award in Division two and David Edwards (right) of Stafford Castle Golf Club took the Division 3 crown.
