Course Information
Uttoxeter Golf Course was first opened for play in 1975 as a nine hole course. These holes are now the 'back nine' on our present 18 hole course. The 18 hole par 70 course measures 5801 yards and members can practise on the short driving range, practice net, putting green and practice green with bunkers. With it's small greens and tight lines the course is a fine test of golf for the low handicapper whilst providing the higher handicapper with a variety of options at each hole. It has excellent putting surfaces and manicured fairways, uniform rough and extensive views across the Dove Valley to the rolling hills of Staffordshire and Derbyshire. A superb golf course kept in excellent condition all year round. Successful drainage management means that it rarely closes, but a trolley ban may be applied for safety reasons because of it's natural contours.
Directions
Uttoxeter is situated approximately half way between Stoke on Trent and Derby just off the A50 link road. To locate the entrance to the club follow the brown tourist signs for the 'Racecourse' from any side of town. This will bring you to a mini roundabout leading to 'Wood Lane', a narrow country road. Pass the racecourse on your left, 300 yards into Wood Lane and continue up the country lane for around a further half a mile. The Club is on your left towards the top of the hill.
